Arizona Fall League Prospect Report — November 11, 2021

Seth Corry, LHP, Giants — It's no secret that Corry has struggled with his command and control for most of his career. Wednesday's outing was no different, especially when it came to his breaking ball. Even so, his numbers by the end of his outing were excellent. After three innings, the lefthander had whiffed five over three one-hit shutout frames. The outing also marked the first time in five AFL starts in which he did not issue a walk. The five strikeouts also served as an AFL high.

Kody Hoese, 3B, Dodgers — 2021 was an unquestionably rough season for Hoese, who hit just .196/.247/.250 with Double-A Tulsa while also missing a month with injury. In his first official season as a pro, Hoese, who was the Dodgers' 2019 first-rounder out of Tulane, hit just two home runs. On Wednesday, he equaled that mark. Hoese slammed a pair of solo home runs against Mesa, his first two longballs of the AFL. The first blast came off of Marlins prospect Josh Simpson while the second was against Blue Jays righty Cre Finfrock. The three-hit night was Hoese's first multi-hit game of the AFL as well, and just the second three-hit game of his pro career (the first came on June 17, 2019, his first game as a pro.

Juan Yepez, 1B, Cardinals — Another day, another standout performance for Yepez, who has continued to be one of the stars of the Fall League. This time, the slugger, who was signed by the Braves in 2014 and dealt to the Cardinals in 2017 for Matt Adams, launched two home runs. The blasts tied him with Mesa's Kameron Misner for second in the league, with seven each, two behind Nelson Velazquez. Yepez's 25 RBIs lead the league, and his .710 slugging percentage and 1.100 OPS are both second in the league, once again behind Velazquez.
