2023 Mexico World Baseball Classic Roster

Mexico announced its roster for the World Baseball Classic on Thursday.

Reigning National League ERA champion Julio Urias leads a pitching staff that includes Astros righthander Jose Urquidy, Phillies righthander Taijuan Walker and Angels lefthander Patrick Sandoval

The roster also includes Mexico’s strongest group of position players ever, led by Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena, Brewers infielder Luis Urias and Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo

The team will be managed by Angels bench coach Benji Gil.

Update: Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk has withdrawn from playing in the WBC and been removed from the roster.
