Anderson's performance was very good on the summer showcase circuit. He played at Perfect Game National, East Coast Pro, and the Area Code Games and went a combined 10-for-23, turning in plus run times and showing natural hitter-ish elements. Anderson showed sound strike zone awareness and the ability to hit the ball where it was pitched, driving the ball to the opposite field and turning on pitches that caught the inside part of the plate. He doubled off of Hunter Greene at the Area Code Games. Anderson flashed plus bat speed; his swing had some length to it with a deep back elbow load that would sometimes lead him to hit the ball with topspin, but he showed the natural timing to stay back and drive the ball. | Anderson dealt with a hamstring injury this spring and didn't quite take off like scouts had hoped he would. He still batted .348, but his power didn't play as well and he did not homer. Anderson is committed to Mississippi State and could become an impact player for the Bulldogs if he makes it to campus.
