Krenzel is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound righthander with a solid blend of pitching ability, athleticism and command. He throws a fastball in the 89-94 mph range with heavy sink and arm side run from a low three-quarters slot and also mixes in a low-80s slider with impressive sweeping life and an 80-84 mph changeup that has made significant strides over the last two years. Krenzel’s arm action is long with a bit of a wrist wrap in the back of his stroke but that hasn’t prevented him from filling up the zone at an impressive clip with all three of his pitches. Krenzel is committed to Tennessee and is the son of Craig Krenzel, who was a quarterback for Ohio State and played one season for the Chicago Bears.
