School: Oregon Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.0
Reitz is one of the tallest players in the 2025 class with a gangly, 6-foot-11, 215-pound frame. He pitched two seasons at St. Mary’s before transferring to Oregon for the 2025 season, where he posted a 3.50 ERA over 15 starts and 64.1 innings with a 26.8% strikeout rate and 10.7% walk rate. Because of Reitz’s extreme length, he also comes with outlier release characteristics that impact his pitch mix. Most hitters simply aren’t accustomed to his extremely high release point. Yet he surprisingly throws his fastball with below-average extension in the low 90s. He has touched 98 mph this spring and gets above-average riding life on the pitch. Reitz mixes three secondaries including an 85-88 mph changeup with diving life, a hard mid-80s slider/cutter hybrid and a low-80s curveball that has some depth. He should be able to develop an average breaking ball between the two. While scouts note that his changeup is a work-in-progress, he did use it almost a quarter of the time and generated a solid 44% miss rate with it this spring. Reitz has been a below-average strike-thrower in college and could always struggle to sync up his delivery. His unique look could make him appealing in the 7-10 round range.

BA Grade/Risk: 45/High
Reitz is an extremely tall and gangly righthander with a 6-foot-9, 285-pound frame. He pitched two seasons with St. Mary’s and transferred to Oregon for the 2025 season, and also had a solid, albeit brief, stint in the 2024 Cape Cod League. Reitz has an extremely high release point and below-average extension and throws a 91-94 mph fastball that has touched 97. His control of the pitch needs work but he’ll also mix in a mid-80s slider and low-80s changeup.
