A standout athlete who is also a talented high school quarterback, Picot is one of the younger players in the 2023 class and doesn’t turn 18 until June 2023. Picot is listed at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds and has a solid package of tools and defensive versatility. Picot has a simple operation at the plate with a quiet lower half and a small step to get started, though his bat path can get a bit lengthy at times. He has lots of strength currently and has shown an ability to drive the ball with authority, but that impact has come with big swing-and-miss questions at times. An outfielder and infielder, Picot has a chance to stick on the dirt, though some scouts believe he’s a bit of a stiffer mover whose defensive actions and plus straight-line speed would be a better fit for the outfield, where he also has solid arm strength. Picot is committed to Alabama and could be a difficult sign.
