  Ilitch is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound righthander with a strong, filled-out pitcher’s frame and a four-pitch mix to complement it. He attacks from a high three-quarters slot and features a bit of effort and recoil in his finish. Ilitch has been up to 94 mph in short stints but typically sits in the low 90s with his fastball. His best secondary is an upper-70s curveball with high spin rates and downer, 12-to-6 shape. He also throws a harder, shorter slider in the low 80s and will mix in a low-80s split-change that looks like a solid secondary for lefthanded hitters.

  Ilitch has a good mix of size and stuff. He has a strong frame and pitches off a fastball that has ticked up to 94 mph from his high three-quarters slot with projection for more velocity. Ilitch is able to manipulate multiple secondary pitches with good shapes. He throws an upper-70s curveball with big depth that has shown sharper bite this year as well as a hard slider in the low-80s. His splitter is a pitch that could become a bigger weapon for him with more experience, as it’s a pitch with good movement that kills spin.
