Shilling has touched 95 mph this season. A thick-bodied pitcher with a big trunk and thick legs, Shilling is listed at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, and will have to stay on top of his conditioning. His command is well below-average and his breaking ball and changeup both need to significantly improve, but he's still making the transition to pitching. Shilling was committed to Cincinnati when he was a catcher. Now that he's pitching, he's going to Illinois if he doesn't go pro.
