Adametz stepped into Liberty’s ace role during the shortened 2020 season but missed 2021 entirely thanks to Tommy John surgery. He rehabbed nicely and picked off exactly where he left off in 2020 this spring, posting a 2.51 ERA over 16 starts and 86 innings, with 84 strikeouts (22.2 K%) and 25 walks (6.6 BB%). Adametz has always been a strong strike thrower in his college career and after 186.2 innings has managed a strong 6.9% walk rate. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound lefty doesn’t have overpowering stuff, but has solid feel for a three-pitch mix. His fastball sits around 90 mph and will touch 93-94, and he also throws a slider around 80 and a changeup in the low 80s. He generates a decent number of groundballs by attacking with a downhill plane, a fastball with sinking life and secondaries that both induce ground balls at high rates.
