Commit/Drafted: Miami
Age At Draft: 18.2
BA Grade:45/Extreme
Tools:Hit: 40. Power: 60. Run: 40. Field: 40. Arm: 60.
Cuvet has plus raw power that grades out among the best in the class and could end up a 70 on the 20-80 scale in the future. The righthanded slugger is physically developed with a strong, 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame that has plenty of strength and allows him to showcase all-fields power in batting practice, with top-end exit velocities that have already neared 110 mph. Cuvet’s power comes with plenty of swing-and-miss tendencies, and he has struggled against 92-plus mph velocity, so developing pitch recognition and strike-zone discipline will be key. A definite corner profile, Cuvet has plus arm strength that would be an asset for him at third base, though he has a lot of work to do with his hands, footwork and actions to stick at the position and could be a better fit as a first baseman or perhaps a corner outfielder, though he is a below-average runner. Despite his physicality, Cuvet is on the younger end of the prep class and doesn’t turn 18 until May 2023. He is committed to Miami.

School:Miami (FL) Age At Draft: 21.2
Outside of Drew Burress, Cuvet was one of—if not the most—impressive bats last year in the ACC. He hit .351/.429/.736 with 15 doubles, 24 home runs and 75 RBIs, following suit with a fantastic summer on the Cape in which he hit .314/.371/.520 with three doubles, six home runs and 20 RBIs. Cuvet has thunderous raw power, but there are questions as to how his hit tool will hold up. There is a strong chance he eventually makes the move from third base over to first. -
