A 5-foot-11, 180-pound center fielder and lefthanded hitter, Walker has long stood out for his speed and quick swing, but he began showing a bit more power in 2023. His offensive game is built around a solid batting eye, a setup that includes an early toe tap and a quick, level path through the zone. Walker has a packed out frame and might not ever be a huge power threat, but he should be able to homer a bit to the pull side and spray plenty of line drives into the gaps for doubles. There are scouts who view Walker as one of the better hitters in the prep class but he seems like a bit of a split-camp prospect for the industry. He’s a plus-plus runner who gets out of the box quickly and does a nice job running routes and tracking down balls in center field. Walker is committed to Tennessee and will be 19 on draft day, making him a draft-eligible sophomore if he makes it to campus.
