Horn was a high-end prospect coming out of high school who drew Bubba Chandler comparisons as a Georgia product and high end multi-sport athlete. Also a member of Missouri’s football team as a quarterback, Horn has very little track record to speak of in college. He pitched in just two games in 2023, missed the entire 2024 season because of Tommy John surgery and only returned to the mound in late April of 2025. His arm talent is obvious. He’s been up to 98 mph with his fastball and has flashed a biting slider that looks like a plus pitch at his best but there’s plenty of uncertainty about him given his extreme lack of playing time. -
School: Collins Hill HS, Suwanee, Ga. Committed/Drafted: Missouri
Age At Draft: 18.9
BA Grade: 50/Extreme
Scouting Grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 55 | Slider: - | Changeup: 50 | Cutter: | Control: 50
Horn draws comparisons to Georgia high school righthander Bubba Chandler from the 2021 class thanks to his talent on the football field and on the mound. Horn is a four-star quarterback committed to Missouri to play both sports and, like Chandler, he’s also a solid infielder and switch-hitter in addition to his tremendous upside on the mound. Horn throws a fastball in the low 90s and gets the pitch a few ticks higher at peak, and it has future plus potential. He throws a breaking ball that has above-average potential and a slider that gets future average grades, while his athleticism and smooth, controlled delivery portend average control in the future as well. All these projections are with the assumption that Horn focuses on baseball at the next level, but his talent as a quarterback and importance to the Missouri football program could mean that doesn’t happen. He’s viewed as a third-or-fourth round talent as a projection pitcher with plenty of untapped potential and natural arm talent, though he’s not expected to be signable in that range given his two-sport Missouri commitment.
