Bauman is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound lefthander who throws from a low three-quarters arm slot and has above-average feel to spin the ball. He sits in the 89-91 mph range with his fastball and will touch 94, but he pitches mostly off a slider around 80 mph that has sweeping action and spin rates around the 2,600 rpm range.
