Andrade is a 6-foot-2 righthander with a lean frame and wide shoulders that suggest more strength gains on the way. After pitching as a reliever with Rhode Island for his first two college seasons, Andrade moved to Pittsburgh for 2024, where he has shown impressive pure stuff but struggled with control and command in a starting role. Andrade has a solid three-pitch mix that includes a 92-94 mph fastball that has touched 96, a mid-80s slider and a mid-80s changeup. All three have the potential to be quality pitches, but Andrade needs to improve his feel to land them both for strikes and command them in the zone.
