  May Update: Brito was signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2015 but has had a stop-start career because of injuries and the pandemic. Even so, he finished 2021 as the system&#39s most accomplished strike-thrower and had an up-arrow by his profile. A dedicated worker, Brito has improved his fastball, which averages around 94 mph and has touched 98 mph this year. Brito&#39s changeup continues to be his best secondary offering, but the Yankees have worked to install both a slider and a cutter into his repertoire. If either of those pitches comes along, he could have a chance as a back-end starter. Tabbed as having the best control in the system, Brito&#39s average arsenal plays a bit better than would be expected thanks to how well he commands it, as well as some intriguing analytical characteristics.
