Rott was the 2018 MAC player of the year and has twice been named to the MAC's all-defensive team. He's hit over .300 in all four seasons at Ohio, culminating with a .382/.464/.618 season this year. He leaves Ohio as its all-time hits leader. Rott is a lefthanded hitter with solid bat-to-ball skills that makes him a productive senior sign although at 6-foot, 212 pounds, he's shorter than the average first baseman.
