Ellard graduated from Lander (S.C.) University in 2020, but pitched out of the bullpen for Liberty this spring, where he posted a 3.65 ERA over 44.1 innings with 63 strikeouts and 13 walks. He’s been up to 94-95 mph with a solid slider. Scouts think he’s a reliever at the next level and at 23 years old, fits into the solid senior sign category.
