Griffin McLarty

McLarty is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound righthander who throws a lot of strikes with a fastball that tops out at 91 mph, but is a below-average offering that is mostly in the upper 80s. He shows feel to throw strikes to both sides of the plate and commands his fastball well. His three-pitch mix features a changeup and a below-average curveball that needs work. McLarty’s pitchability is his best tool, and he’s a very advanced strike thrower, but he’ll need to add strength and increase his fastball velocity at the next level to not get hit around and continue to miss bats.
