Mike Kaelin

Kaelin packs some power in his miniature 5-foot-9 frame. He has a quick arm and a fastball that runs into the mid-90s, and he spins a sharp breaking ball that projects as an average pitch. His pitches lack the downhill plane of a more prototypical power pitcher, but he's a strike thrower and shows the ability to induce swings-and-misses. He'll have to be a little bit more fine with his pitches in the strike zone as he faces more difficult competition, but his two potent pitches give him a chance to carve out a role as a middle innings reliever.
