After Delvin Perez, Torres was considered the best defensive infielder in Puerto Rico this year. He has good hands and an above-average arm, giving him the tools to make all the necessary plays. He has good infield actions and enough range for the middle infield thanks to his average speed. A righthhanded hitter, Torres has a contact-oriented approach at the plate, though will occasionally show some pop. His bat gives him more of a utility infielder profile, but as he physically matures, his offensive profile should further improve. Torres earns praise for his makeup and feel for the game. He is committed to Broward County (Fla.) JC.
