In a down year for the Northeast college class, Margevicius has been one of the few bright spots. Loose, 6-foot-5 lefthanders like him are hard to find, and he shows the ability to fill the strike zone with a three-pitch mix. He has a bit of a longer arm stroke and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. His fastball works at 88-91 mph and tickles 92. Margevicius's best offspeed pitch is his changeup, an average offering with splitter-like dive that he has feel for. He switched from a curveball as a sophomore to a slider as a junior, and the pitch lacks consistency but flashes average and is likely to settle in as a 40 or 45 on the 20-to-80 scale. His three-pitch mix and solid three-year performance and growth at Rider should lead to Margevicius being selected on day two of the draft.
