After the first month of the 2022 minor league season, the Minnesota Twins have the best combined record in the minors. At 51-31, the Twins four farm teams have a combined .622 winning percentage and have outscored their opponents by 54 runs through Sunday’s (May 1) games.

The Brewers (.593), Dodgers (.586) and Giants (.565) round out the top four in the collective standings. The Nationals and Rangers are tied for fifth. For the Nationals, this is a dramatic climb. Washington had the second-worst winning percentage in the minors in 2021.

The Twins, Brewers and Giants are the only three organizations where all four minor league affiliates have winning records.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Astros are easily the worst across the minors in the first month of the season. As an organization, Houston’s minor league winning percentage is .356. Its run differential (-134) is also worst in the minors.

The Reds High-A Dayton affiliate is the best team in the minors in the first month of the season at 16-5. The Nationals High-A Fredericksburg affiliate has the minors’ best run differential (+61).

The Astros High-A Asheville affiliate is the minors’ worst team after the first month. Asheville (4-17) is worst in winning percentage (.190) and run differential (-81).
