Top 50 Graduated MLB Prospects In The Class Of 2024

Each fall, Baseball America develops its Top 30 Prospects rankings for the Prospect Handbook. Our 2025 Handbook is available for pre-order now, with a digital version due out in January and print copies mailing in March.

Recently, we have added a new wrinkle: evaluating and ranking the top overall graduated prospects from last year’s Prospect Handbook. The goal is to give prospects-turned-big leaguers their due before we say farewell and turn our attention to the next wave of talent working its through the minor leagues.

Below, you can find the top 50 such players. Each graduated prospect is listed with his preseason BA Grade and then an updated BA Grade based on what happened in 2024. Players are ranked by updated season-ending BA Grade, which gauges each player’s realistic upside on the 20-80 scouting scale. A Risk assessment deducts points—10 for High, five for Medium and none for Low—to determine each prospect’s Tier. Each player’s listed age is his baseball age in 2025.
