We’re continuing our usual Hot Sheet installments into the fall by ranking the hottest prospects in the Arizona Fall League each week. Contributing this week were BA staffers J.J. Cooper, Geoff Pontes, Josh Norris and Jesús Cano.

Just as with our regular in-season Hot Sheet, our weekly AFL list simply recognizes how the hottest prospects in the minors did in the past week—it’s not a re-ranking of the Baseball America Top 100 Prospects.

We host our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Mondays. We’ll also be answering prospect questions in our weekly Hot Sheet chat on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. ET.

1. Sam Antonacci, 2B, White Sox
  • Team: Glendale Desert Dogs
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .692/.765/.923 (9-for-13), 5 R, 0 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 4 BB, 2 SO, 5-for-6 SB

The Scoop: While Antonacci may lack the prototypical power of an AFL standout, his blend of contact, approach and speed was very much on display last week. The 22-year-old was an impossible out, as he reached base in 13 of his 17 trips to the batter’s box. Once on base, he put his wheels to good use, stealing five bases. The former Coastal Carolina standout enjoyed a breakout season in 2025, hitting .291/.433/.409 with 48 stolen bases across 116 games. Antonacci lacks the impact typical of an everyday regular, but he’s showing a nice combination of plate skills and speed that could soon earn him opportunities in the majors. (GP)

2. Kevin McGonigle, SS, Tigers
  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 21
  • Why He’s Here: .500/.579/.875 (8-for-16), 4 R, 0 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 6 RBIs, 3 BB, 2 SO

The Scoop: After a regular season spent dominating the Midwest and Eastern leagues, it’s been more of the same for McGonigle in the AFL, where he’s reached base in each of his 11 games. His past week included a pair of home runs, the second of which was a game-winning blast against Angels righty Najer Victor, who dealt BA’s No. 2 overall prospect a 99 mph sinker in the tenth inning. McGonigle launched the pitch 424 feet just to the left of the batter’s eye at Salt River Fields with an exit velocity of 107.2 mph. He might just take home the AL Rookie of the Year award in 2026. 3. Karson Milbrandt, RHP, Marlins
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 21
  • Why He’s Here: 0-0, 3.38, 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 SO, 0 HR

The Scoop: After a rocky opening outing in the Arizona Fall League, Milbrandt has gotten things under control and been one of the circuit’s most dominant pitchers. In 5.2 innings, the 21-year-old righty has allowed a pair of hits and runs and racked up 14 strikeouts. His command and control still need tweaking, as the five walks in that span can attest, but there’s no doubt he has the kind of stuff built to get hitters flailing at air. Milbrandt induced 28 whiffs in 53 swings over those two outings, good for a rate of 52.8%. (JN)

4. Jack Hurley, OF, Diamondbacks
  • Team: Salt River Rafters
  • Age: 23
  • Why He’s Here: .385/.385/1.077 (5-for-13) 3 R, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 0 BB, 1 SO

The Scoop: Hurley saved his best for the Arizona Fall League. After going the entire season without a multi-homer game, the D-backs outfielder finally broke through—and did it in spectacular fashion. Hurley drove in eight runs in a monster game last week that turned heads across the league and showcased his full offensive arsenal. The talented outfielder opened his day with an RBI double, followed it up with a bases-clearing triple and then capped his offensive eruption with a pair of two-run homers in his final at-bats. He finished just a single shy of hitting for the cycle, completing a day to remember in dominant fashion. (JC)

5. Raudi Rodriguez, OF, Angels
  • Team: Salt River Rafters
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .438/.438/.688 (9-for-16), 3 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 3 RBIs, 0 BB, 5 SO, 0-for-1 SB

The Scoop: After an outstanding season that saw him become one of just two qualified minor leaguers to finish with 20 or more doubles, 10 or more triples and homers and 30 or more stolen bases, Rodriguez has stayed scorching in the AFL. His miss rates in the regular season were slightly elevated, but he also hit the ball quite hard, as his 90th percentile exit velocity was 106.5 mph, and he maxed out at 111.8 mph. His past week in the Fall League showcased both his strengths and weaknesses: He punched out five times with just one walk, but he also produced five EVs harder than 100 mph, including a max of 108.9. 6. Josh Adamczewski, OF/2B, Brewers
  • Team: Surprise Saguaros
  • Age: 20
  • Why He’s Here: .429/.556/1.000 (6-for-14) 3 R, 2 2B, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 4 BB, 3 SO

The Scoop: Adamczewski swung his way into the Brewers’ Top 30 prospects list this year thanks to a standout bat and consistent production. The young infielder posted an impressive .320/.420/.490 slash line, adding five home runs, 46 RBIs, and seven stolen bases across 71 games between Low-A Carolina, High-A Wisconsin and the Arizona Complex League. His hot bat has continued into the AFL, where his four homers already almost match home run total from the entire regular season (five). He’s also spending more time in the outfield to find alternative ways into the lineup, as he has played at the same level as infielders Jesús Made and Luis Peña. (JC)

7. Luke Adams, 3B, Brewers
  • Team: Surprise Saguaros
  • Age: 21
  • Why He’s Here: .462/.526/.769 (6-for-13), 4 R, 1 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0-for-0 SB

The Scoop: Adams owns one of the more unorthodox swings in the minors at the moment, but he’s consistently put up strong stat lines with underlying data to match. It should be no shock, then, that Adams has continued to produce in Surprise, as he’s hit .317/.455/.537 over 13 Fall League games. He collected hits in four of the five games last week, capping off the week with a three-hit game on Saturday. He also added a home run in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against Surprise. Adams reached Double-A this year, hitting .232/.409/.450 with 11 home runs over 64 games. He possesses elite on-base skills and good underlying power metrics, giving him a chance to become an everyday regular if he continues to produce at the plate. (GP)

8. Leo Balcazar, 2B/SS Reds
  • Team: Peoria Javelinas
  • Age: 21
  • Why He’s Here: .444/.500/.556 (8-for-20) 4 R, 2 2B, 5 RBIs, 2 BB, 3 SO, 1-for-1 SB

The Scoop: Balcazar’s goal in the AFL is to show the Reds he’s worth adding to the 40-man roster as a versatile multi-position infielder. He’s added third base to the second base and shortstop he played during the regular season, and he’s also showing his potential at the plate, as he had his first four-hit game of the season on Saturday. Balcazar hasn’t shown the same explosiveness since returning from a 2023 knee injury, but he plays with energy and set a career high with 12 home runs this year. (JJ)

9. Charlie Condon, 1B, Rockies
  • Team: Salt River Rafters
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .438/.526/.500 (7-for-17) 6 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 3 BB, 5 SO

The Scoop: Condon is having an excellent AFL, as his .346 batting average attests. But there is something to keep an eye on, however, as Condon’s power hasn’t made the trip to Phoenix. He’s somewhat a victim of poor luck, as he’s hitting the ball hard. He has three 110-plus mph exit velocities and 14 balls hit at 100 or more. But Condon isn’t hitting the ball hard in the air very often, as only seven of those 100+ mph hits traveled more than 250 feet in the air. (JC)

10. James Hicks, RHP, Astros
  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 24
  • Why He’s Here: 0-0, 0.00, 1 GS, 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 SO

The Scoop: Hicks is more crafty than overpowering, but as he is showing in the AFL, he does have enough pitches to make it work. He didn’t touch 94 mph this week, but he threw strikes with five different offerings. He’s yet to allow a run in three starts, and he has an exceptional 14-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. (JJ)
