Even though he ended up on the losing end of the ledger, Rangers righthander Winston Santos put forth one his best starts in what has been a breakout season. Facing Midland in the Texas League division series, Santos went six innings, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out a dozen Rockhounds hitters. The 12 Ks matched a season high, set in April against Greensboro. All told, Santos finished his season, which was split between High-A and Double-A with 138 strikeouts in 110.1 innings.
