White Sox’s Edgar Quero Puts Five On It
It’s no secret that Double-A Birmingham houses one of the best pitching staffs in the minor leagues. The guy who is charged with catching those talented arms ain’t bad either. Quero, whom the White Sox acquired from the Angels last summer, considered a standout season by going 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs in the Barons’ loss to Montgomery. Not only was the effort Quero’s first five-hit game, it was also his first game with four hits. It also continues a scorching June for Quero, 20, who is hitting .482/.532/.786 this month.
