Smith-Shawver Stymies Twins
Braves righthander and top prospect AJ Smith-Shawver got the start against Minnesota on Monday and was stellar. The righthander, who made his big league debut in 2023, struck out five over 2.2 innings while allowing just a hit and a walk. His fastball averaged 96 mph and topped at 99. He finished his afternoon with seven whiffs, including four on his changeup and two on his curveball.
