Brewers catcher Jeferson Quero will miss all but one inning of the 2024 season due to a shoulder injury, the Brewers told reporters on Tuesday. Quero injured his shoulder diving back into first base on a pickoff throw in the first inning on Triple-A Opening Day. The injury requires surgery that will sideline him for nine months. If there is a bright spot in some disappointing news for Quero and the Brewers it is that the 21-year-old catcher will still be one of the younger players in AAA when he returns next season.
