Royals’ Kendry Chourio Throws Five Scoreless In Carolina League Playoffs
Low-A Columbia took a 1-0 series lead in the first round of the Carolina League playoffs behind Royals pitching prospect Kendry Chourio. The Royals righthander struck out four and walked none in five innings, allowing one run on four hits to Myrtle Beach. The 17-year-old began this season in the Dominican Summer League before advancing to the Arizona Complex League and ultimately the Carolina League for six starts.
