Rays’ Pepiot Dominates Final Tune-Up
Rays rigthhander Ryan Pepiot had a rough start to his spring training, as he allowed eight hits and six runs in just 2.2 innings in his second outing of the spring. But he’s alleviated any concerns about his ability to handle a rotation spot with his strong finish. On the heels of five one-hit innings in his previous start, Pepiot allowed two hits in six scoreless innings against Detroit on Tuesday. He walked one and struck out eight. Pepiot got five swings-and-misses on his 86-88 mph slider and five more on his 86-88 mph changeup.
