Phillies’ Moises Chace Fans 13 Hitters
Moises Chace, one of the two pitching prospects the Phillies acquired from the Orioles in the Gregory Soto trade, set a career high with 13 strikeouts on Saturday for Double-A Reading. Chace had struck out 10 batters for the first time in his previous start, but he was even better against Somerset. Chace gave up a hit to Rafael Flores with two outs in the first, but that was the only batter among the first seven that didn’t strike out and Flores was the only batter who reached base against Chace. Chace is 5-3, 3.18 with a 37.6% strikeout percentage.
