Fresh off a nod as the South Atlantic League player of the month in April, High-A Brooklyn third baseman Jacob Reimer keeps on mashing in May. The 21-year-old Mets prospect enters play on May 13 with a 198 wRC+ that leads all full-season minor leaguers with at least 100 plate appearances. Reimer owns a 1.010 OPS at home in pitcher-friendly Maimonides Park and a 1.120 OPS on the road. His most recent road trip took him to hitter-friendly Asheville, and he responded by going 6-for-16 (.375) with two doubles, a homer, four walks and four strikeouts in five games. Drafted as a shortstop, Reimer has played primarily third base in pro ball but has seen more time at first base lately with Brooklyn.
