Jack Leiter Splits The Atom Against Albuquerque
Rangers righthander Jack Leiter struck out everyone on Thursday. Well, not quite, but the hyperbole isn’t much. Leiter got 11 outs against Albuquerque. All of them were strikeouts. The righthander finished his evening with 3.2 innings of one-hit, one-run ball with the 11 Ks and just one walk. Has fastball touched 100 three times and got 19 whiffs in 62 pitches. Nine of his whiffs came on his fastball, seven on his slider, two on his curveball and one on his cutter. He now has 101 Ks in 71.1 innings this year at Round Rock.
