Jace LaViolette Exits SEC Tournament Game With Broken Hand

Texas A&M junior outfielder Jace LaViolette, BA’s No. 5 prospect in the 2025 draft, suffered a broken left hand Thursday afternoon in the SEC Tournament when he was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning against Auburn. LaViolette had an up-and-down draft season the opened with a slump that saw him bat just .231 through the first month of play. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound lefthanded hitter rebounded throughout conference play and raised his batting average as high as .315 in late April but ends the campaign batting .256 with 18 home runs, nine doubles, 59 RBIs and seven stolen bases.
