Holliday, Skenes To Face Off Thursday Afternoon
Some of baseball’s best current and former top prospects are sharing the same field Thursday in Sarasota. Jackson Holliday is batting leadoff and playing second base against Paul Skenes and the Pirates. The game features four of the last five No. 1 overall picks with Henry Davis (2021) and Adley Rutschman (2019) also in their respective lineups. New Orioles ace Corbin Burnes opposes Skenes and Baltimore also has two other Top 100 Prospects in its lineup in Coby Mayo and Heston Kjerstad, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2020 draft. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET, but the game does not appear to be televised.
