The 2025 season has not yet officially begun, but injuries continue to plague Twins outfielder Emmanuel Rodriguez. According to Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune, Rodriguez has a left ankle sprain that will delay his participation in camp for “a week or two.” The No. 2 Twins prospect and a top-20 prospect in all of baseball, Rodriguez has elite strike zone discipline and huge raw power, but he has struggled with strikeouts (a 30% career minor league strikeout rate) and a slew of injuries that have limited him to just 230 games in four seasons. Rodriguez dealt with a hand injury in 2020, a knee sprain in 2022, an abdomen injury in 2023 and a lingering thumb injury in 2024 that required surgery after the season.
