The Orioles’ No. 3 prospect moved inside the top 25 in the most recent Top 100 Prospects update. He celebrated on Wednesday by slugging his 10th home run of the season. After a strong showing in Triple-A over the last 62 games of 2023, Mayo has returned to the level and raised his level of play, as he’s hitting .333/.400/.667 over 29 games. In other organizations Mayo likely would have already debuted, but due to Baltimore’s enviable depth Mayo will have to wait a little longer before stepping foot on a major league field.
