The Angels are quite comfortable aggressively promoting first-round picks, as Zach Neto (2022) and Nolan Schanuel (2023) both ascended to the majors less than a year after they were drafted. Christian Moore might be the next. The 2024 first-rounder will see some time at third base this spring, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, opening up an opportunity for the Tennessee product to break camp with the Angels. Moore played primarily as a second baseman with the Volunteers over his three seasons with the program. Fletcher also reported that the team considered promoting Moore last September prior to Moore sustaining a knee injury.
