The worst season in Rockies’ history has just gotten even worse. Righthander Chase Dollander, the team’s No. 1 prospect was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm tightness. The IL move comes four days after one of his better starts of the season, as Dollander held the D-backs to three hits and one run in 4.2 innings on May 18.

Dollander is at 38.2 innings pitched in the majors and retains prospect eligibility for now. He is 2-5, 6.28 in eight MLB starts. He’s been very solid on the road (0-4, 3.96) where he’s held opponents to a .211 average But like many other pitchers before him, he’s been chewed up by Coors Field so far. Dollander is 2-1, 8.66 at home with a .311 opponents average.

The IL move was backdated to May 19, so Dollander will be out until at least early June.
