Cardinals’ Quinn Mathews Keeps Rolling
High-A Peoria lefthander Quinn Mathews has shown no problem making the jump to the Midwest League. He was impressive again on Sunday, holding Cedar Rapids to two runs, one earned, and two hits in six innings. He struck out seven while walking three. Mathews is holding hitters to a .149 average this season and a 0.78 WHIP. He’s struck out 110 and walked 20 in 74.1 innings.
