Pirates righthander Bubba Chandler is one of the best pitching prospects in the sport. In his first start of the year, he pitched like it. Facing off against Louisville—which sent excellent Reds prospect Chase Petty to the hill—Chandler went four shutout innings, allowed just one hit and walked a pair. He struck out eight and got 10 whiffs on 31 swings. The breakdown: three whiffs on his slider, five on his four-seamer (which touched 100 mph) and two on his changeup.
