The Astros saw enough from Brito after one start in the Florida Complex League to promote him to Low-A Fayetteville. A 5-foot-10 righthander that signed out of the Venezuela for just $10,000 in January of 2023, Brito made his professional debut in 2024 in the Dominican Summer League. He pitched to a 0.40 ERA with 40 strikeouts to six walks in 22.1 innings, earning a promotion to the FCL on July 13. He was then promoted again following one dominant scoreless four-inning performance. The undersized righty has serious stuff. He mixes a mid-90s fastball that touches 99 mph with ride, an 82 mph sweeper that has over a foot of horizontal break and an upper-80s changeup. Brito is another low-dollar find for an Astros organization that has made a habit of it over the last decade.
