Angel Genao finished this year with a .330 batting average that was fifth best in the minors. His 38 doubles also ranked among the top 10 in the minors, and he finished with 10 home runs and 25 steals. It was a breakout season for the Guardians’ young shortstop prospect, and his postseason was a perfect capper to a top-notch season. Genao reached base all five times he came to the plate in the Lake County Captains Midwest League title clincher on Wednesday. Genao went 2-for-2 with three walks and a double. He hit .429/.609/.857 in the postseason, and went 5-for-7 in the final two games of the postseason.
