Prospect Preview: March 9

Spring training games might not mean anything as far as the regular season is concerned, but it is a great time for watching prospects. That's especially true in the early going. Lineups in the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues are littered with players who rank among our Top 30 prospect lists for each team. To help keep you updated, we'll run down each game's lineup every morning and highlight the prospects in each team's starting nine in the Prospect Preview.
We'll update the Cactus League and night Grapefruit League games as the lineups are announced. The Game of the Day is Boston vs. Pittsburgh, and it earns that designation for one reason: Yoan Moncada. Boston's top prospect and the No. 3 overall prospect in this year's Top 100 gets the nod at second base against the Pirates. He came off the bench in the team's exhibition game against Boston College earlier this spring but has yet to play in an official Grapefruit League game. Moncada, who made his pro debut last year after garnering a $62 million outlay from Boston, has a tantalizing mix of tools, including power, speed and defense up the middle. The game will be streamed live on GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE Atlanta vs Houston — 1:05 p.m. Eastern On TV?
