Baseball card “prospecters” looking for new releases of talent such as Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon and Chase Burns will have a new option in the marketplace later this month when Panini releases its first-ever “Prospect Edition” cards.

The hobby box currently listed as “coming soon” on Panini.com includes six packs with eight cards each, it and includes six autographs and 18 parallels, on average.

Panini has not yet publicly announced a price or release date, but a listing on retailer Blowout Cards indicates a release date of Feb. 28. Blowout Cards also lists single hobby boxes for $150 and 20-box cases for $3,000 (retailer prices are often slightly higher than the price Topps and Panini will offer on their own sites).

Panini has also not yet released a full checklist, but preview pictures show that, in addition to newly drafted players, the set will include a dual auto chase of the No. 1 and 2 picks from the 2023 draft, 2024 Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews.
