At Baseball America, we pride ourselves on going deep at all levels of the sport. That extends to our annual Preseason Top 30 Prospects lists, which provide detailed scouting reports and tool grades for the best 900 prospects in baseball.
Building out Top 30s is one of our most rigorous exercises of the year. These lists are the culmination of months of reporting with various scouts, executives and front office personnel throughout the industry. The finished product results in our Prospect Handbook and online lists published exclusively for Baseball America subscribers.
Of course, each year there are prospects who just miss the cut for a variety of reasons. Though not Top 30 Prospects, don’t necessarily count them out. Some are relatively unknown, while others will go on to impact the big leagues in 2025—perhaps as relievers or role players—thanks to their interesting mixes of ingredients that could portend a potential breakout.
