Introducing The Baseball America Prospect League, Powered By OOTP 21

Baseball America and Out Of The Park Baseball have partnered to create the Baseball America Prospect League, which we will unveil in a livestream tonight (June 23) at 9 p.m. ET.

The Baseball America Prospect League will pit prospect teams for all 30 MLB teams (selected by Baseball America’s staff) over the course of a 162-game season followed by a postseason. OOTP and Baseball America will play the season over the course of the next three months.

Our intent was to both have some fun at a time when there is no minor league season, but we also are offering in some ways a simulated sneak peek at what could become of the Arizona Fall League (which potentially could expand to the AFL and Florida Fall League with each team fielding a full roster of its own prospects).

Out of the Park Baseball 21 is the twenty-first and newest version of the award-winning baseball strategy series. Known for its passionate fan base, simulation prowess, and near-unlimited options for baseball competition spanning the entire history of the sport, OOTP 21 is a baseball strategist's dream. Featuring full MLB, MLBPA, and MiLB licensing, it offers authentic and unique offline and online options. The competition created here - 30 rosters populated with minor league prospects under specific conditions - is a great example of that.

Every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET we will air a livestream ( with a look at highlights for recent games as well as stream a live game. Baseball America will host complete statistics for the entire season as it happens.

We also look forward to your input. If you have suggestions for lineup changes and even roster changes for your favorite club, you can leave messages in our LiveStream or Tweet JJ Cooper (@jjcoop36).

Before long, there will also be a Quick Start option for fans to run their own version of the Baseball America Prospect League through the OOTP game.
