No week has produced more movement across the Baseball America College Baseball Top 25 rankings than Week 11. Four new teams enter the top 10, and six teams moved eight or more spots in our latest update.

Three teams—Texas, UC Irvine and Alabama—turned in perfect weeks. While no teams went winless, six (Clemson, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Western Kentucky and Georgia Tech) failed to produce winning weekly records.

Arizona, Georgia Tech and Western Kentucky exited the rankings while NC State, Kansas and Dallas Baptist all returned after having spent multiple weeks inside the Top 25 at various points throughout the season.

Jim Schlossnagle’s first season at Texas went from excellent to historic in Week 11. The Longhorns beat Texas State in a midweek, then swept rival Texas A&M in Austin to improve to 19-2 in the SEC, becoming just the fourth team since the conference expanded its schedule to 30 games in 1996 to reach that mark.

Freshman Adrian Rodriguez (5-for-9 with a double, home run and two RBIs) led the charge at the plate against the Aggies with help from junior Jayden Duplantier (3-for-8 with a double and RBI) and senior Kimble Schuessler (3-for-9 with a double). On the mound, righty Ruger Riojas (5.2 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K) and lefties Luke Harrison (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R/ER, 1 BB, 6 K) and Dylan Volantis (2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 2 saves) led the way.

The Longhorns are managing a handful of significant injuries, namely ace Jared Spencer (shoulder, out for season) and outfielder Max Belyeu (thumb, week-to-week), but it hasn’t slowed their pace. They hold a five-game lead in the SEC regular-season race. Texas will be tested again in Week 12 with a midweek home game against Prairie View A&M and weekend series at No. 10 Arkansas.

LSU returned to the top three for the first time since Week 9 after earning its highest-ranked series win of the season, taking two-of-three against then-No. 5 Tennessee, a result that eased the sting of a shocking run-rule midweek loss to Northwestern State. Ace lefthander Kade Anderson continued to boost his soaring draft stock with 11 strikeouts over 7.1 innings on Friday night, while star freshman Derek Curiel (5-for-12 with a home run, two doubles, seven RBIs) and junior slugger Jared Jones (4-for-12 with a home run, double and three RBIs) offered team-leading performances at the dish.

Including Week 12, the Tigers have spent eight weeks ranked among the top three, the second most in the nation behind only Tennessee (nine). They are virtual locks to earn a top-eight national seed, barring a stunning late collapse. LSU will host a dangerous Southeastern Louisiana squad in the midweek before facing Texas A&M in College Station.

It wasn’t overly impressive, but North Carolina handled business in Week 11. The Tar Heels won two of three against Pittsburgh to move into a three-way share of second place in the ACC. Third baseman Gavin Gallaher (5-for-12 with four home runs, a double and seven RBIs) put together a career week, highlighted by a three-homer game on Sunday. Center fielder Kane Kepley (4-for-12 with three doubles) and catcher Luke Stevenson (two-home-run game on Sunday) impressed as well. North Carolina starters Jason DeCaro, Jake Knapp and Aidan Haugh combined to allow six earned runs over 18.1 innings, led by DeCaro’s seven shutout frames on Saturday. The Tar Heels have a light week ahead with a pair of midweek contests against Atlantic 10 leader George Mason and Queens University of Charlotte.

With the help of some poll dynamics, Georgia is back in the top five after a one-week absence. The Bulldogs won their weekend series over then-No. 11 Oklahoma after getting swept by Vanderbilt the week prior. Georgia’s pitching was shaky, but shortstop Kolby Branch, third baseman Slate Alford and DH Tre Phelps combined for five home runs, two doubles and 12 RBIs to lead an offense that scored 24 runs over three weekend contests. Georgia’s pitching (4.99 staff ERA) remains a concern, but few teams have kept pace with its offense (8.8 runs per game). The Bulldogs are set to host Kennesaw State in the midweeks before traveling to Columbia to take on Missouri, which is 0-21 in SEC play.

Auburn’s surge back into national relevance continued in Week 11. The Tigers picked up their 12th ranked win of the season, knocking off then-No. 25 Georgia Tech in a midweek game before taking two-of-three from a Mississippi State team pushing for a postseason bid. Auburn joined Tennessee as the only two SEC teams to win seven of their last nine league weekends dating back to last year.

Cooper McMurray finished the week with six hits, including a home run and two doubles, Chris Rembert punished a pair of home runs and ace Samuel Dutton struck out nine over six innings on Friday night. You wouldn’t know it by looking at its record, but Auburn has faced the most difficult schedule in the nation this year, significantly increasing its odds of earning a top-eight national seed on Selection Monday. The Tigers will face Samford at the Hoover Met, home of the SEC Tournament, in the midweeks before taking on No. 7 Tennessee in Knoxville.

After 10 weeks of dominance, Clemson finally stumbled, getting swept in Raleigh by red-hot NC State. It marked the Tigers’ first series loss of the season and their first weekend sweep in nearly a year. A midweek win over No. 8 Georgia, along with strong peripheral metrics (No. 8 RPI and a 19-10 record against Quad I and II opponents), helped prevent a more dramatic fall. Clemson will look to steady itself this weekend against No. 19 Florida State, which is also coming off a tough weekend.

Tennessee leads the nation in weeks spent ranked No. 1, as well as inside the top three, but it drops to its lowest ranking of the season after losing a weekend series to then-No. 4 LSU. The Volunteers have lost three of their last four series, prompting head coach Tony Vitello to publicly urge his players to “do their job” while reiterating that he isn’t panicked about the team’s current form. The Volunteers still boast one of the most dangerous lineups and hardest-throwing pitching staffs in the country, and they’ll look to rebound this week against another top-five opponent in Auburn.

West Virginia has only played 17 Quad 1 and II games and doesn’t have the strongest metrics resume among teams in the top 10. But its relentless ability to win has fueled a rise from No. 22 to No. 8 over the past two weeks. After a midweek loss to Penn State, the Mountaineers responded with their fourth consecutive weekend sweep, taking all three games at Central Florida. Five different hitters (Kyle West, Brodie Kresser, Skylar King, Grant Hussey and Jace Rinehart) posted multi-hit games during the series, and Sunday starter Jack Kartsonas closed it out with a 6.2-inning, three-run performance. With three weekends remaining, West Virginia needs just four more wins to set a new program record—and could get there this week against Marshall and Texas Tech, both of which currently carry losing conference records.

UC Irvine continued its charge toward claiming the title of the nation’s top mid-major, earning a midweek win over then-No. 18 UCLA before sweeping fellow Big West contender Cal Poly on the road. Corner infielder James Castagnola homered twice and doubled during the week, while ace Riley Kelly, Saturday starter Trevor Hansen and standout reliever Ricky Ojeda combined to allow just five runs over 18.2 innings, highlighted by Hansen’s 7.2 scoreless frames. The Anteaters are trending firmly toward hosting a regional for the first time since 2009, when head coach Ben Orloff was their starting shortstop. They’ll look to keep momentum rolling this week against Cal State Fullerton and UC San Diego.

Arkansas’ concerning recent trends continued in Week 11 as it dropped its weekend series at Florida, marking its third consecutive series loss and second straight against an unranked opponent. The Razorbacks’ once-reliable pitching has looked far more vulnerable during that stretch, including in Gainesville where they surrendered seven and nine runs in their two losses. Snapping the skid won’t get any easier this week, with a road trip to Missouri State—who already beat them in March—followed by a massive home series against No. 1 Texas.

Winners of 10 of their last 12, Coastal Carolina has emerged as a metrics darling, boasting the No. 13 RPI and 21 wins across Quad I-III opponents. The Chanticleers sit atop the Sun Belt standings with a two-game cushion over Southern Miss and strengthened their grip last week with a weekend sweep of James Madison. Catcher Caden Bodine, shortstop Ty Dooley, and second baseman Blake Barthol headlined a powerful offensive showing that included a pair of run-rule wins, while ace Jacob Morrison and the bullpen delivered strong outings. On its current trajectory, Coastal is positioned to host a regional for the first time since 2023 and third time since 2010, but it’ll need to avoid missteps the rest of the way, starting this week against UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State.

Oregon’s move to the Big Ten has limited its chances for statement wins. That made last weekend’s rivalry series against Oregon State all the more critical, and the Ducks delivered. Oregon swept the then-No. 6 Beavers, outscoring them 20-5 to earn its first head-to-head series sweep since 2021. Center fielder Mason Neville continued his standout season with his nation-leading 20th and 21st home runs, while ace Grayson Grinsell set the tone with seven strong innings on Friday. After a 7-7 stretch over the Ducks’ previous 14 games, head coach Mark Wasikowski expressed optimism that his team’s sweep would provide a jumpstart heading into a midweek rematch at No. 16 Oregon State and a road series at Michigan State.

Ole Miss bounced back from last weekend’s series loss at South Carolina with an impressive 3-1 week that included a rivalry win over Mississippi State and a series victory over then-No. 8 Vanderbilt. In Tuesday’s midweek game, the Rebels erased a two-run, ninth inning deficit thanks to an Austin Fawley two-run home run before Will Furniss came through with a walk-off single in the 10th inning. It was a well-rounded effort on both sides of the baseball this weekend for the Rebs who saw four different players hit a home run, but the biggest story was their starting pitching. Hunter Elliott set the tone of Friday and allowed one run on just two hits, while on Saturday Riley Maddox allowed only one run across seven stellar innings. A difficult week awaits Ole Miss who has a tricky midweek matchup against Austin Peay and a tough series at No. 21 Oklahoma.

Between Friday and Saturday, the Commodores’ bats were able to muster just four runs on 10 total hits before salvaging the series with a commanding 13-0 win. In Sunday’s finale, all nine Vanderbilt starters registered at least one hit and seven different drove in at least one run. Connor Fennell was undoubtedly their player of the weekend after striking out out a season-high 12 across seven shutout innings. Vanderbilt returns home this week where it will take on Indiana State and No. 23 Alabama.

In Monday’s 12-inning affair, Easton Tait delivered a walk-off RBI groundout, while the following day the dynamic duo of Aiva Arquette and Gavin Turley combined to drive in five runs. The Beavers this weekend scored first on both Friday and Sunday, but their bats were held in check and they struggled to string hits together. Lefthander Ethan Kleinschmit was the biggest bright spot, as across six innings he notched a season-high 12 strikeouts. The Cardinals on Saturday erased a 4-0 deficit by scoring nine straight runs between the fifth and eighth innings, while in Sunday’s finale a five-run first inning was all the offense they would need. Five different Cardinals hitters drove in multiple runs, but Lucas Moore—who on Sunday put the exclamation point on the weekend with a “walk-off” grand slam—led the way with seven RBIs. Louisville’s bullpen was excellent, and between Saturday and Sunday a quartet of Cardinals arms combined to throw 9.1 shutout innings. Potential top-five overall pick Jamie Arnold allowed only two runs and struck out 11 across 7.2 innings, but he was the lone bright spot on the pitching staff this weekend. Alex Lodise paced the offense and went 7-for-12 with a home run and six RBIs, while Myles Bailey, Drew Faurot and Cal Fisher also drove in multiple runs. Oklahoma took a step back this week, as it dropped both its midweek game against Oral Roberts and its series at Georgia. The Sooners began their weekend with a hard-fought win in which they weathered a valiant comeback effort by the Bulldogs, but on Friday they couldn’t overcome an early six-run deficit. In Saturday’s rubber game, Oklahoma jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but a costly error in the top of the sixth inning proved to be the difference-maker. Dayton Tockey—who exited Thursday’s game with an injury—went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and two home runs, while the Witherspoon twins—Kyson and Malachi—combined to allow just two earned runs across 13 total innings. Kansas re-joins the top 25 after a perfect week headlined by a sweep of Utah. The Jayhawks began the week with back-to-back shutouts. On Tuesday, six different pitchers held Nebraska to just four hits, while on Friday prized sophomore Dominic Voegele struck out five, walked none and allowed six hits—all of which were singles—across 8.2 shutout innings. In Sunday’s series finale, Sawyer Smith in the top of the eighth hit the game-winning grand slam. Smith’s home run was the biggest individual swing of the weekend, but eight different Jayhawks hitters drove in multiple runs. Following a week on the road, Kansas returns home to take on Missouri and Cincinnati.

Dallas Baptist also re-joins the top 25 following its road series win over always-tough Louisiana Tech. Friday’s game was wild. DBU erased an early 8-2 deficit and eventually took a 15-11 lead in the 10th inning on an Adam Berghult grand slam. However, the Bulldogs responded with a grand slam to tie the game at 15 in the bottom half of the inning. After a key shutout inning by Zach Todd, Michael Dattalo in the top of 12th delivered what ended up being the game-winning RBI single. In Sunday’s rubber game, Nathan Humphreys went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and three RBIs, while the duo of Ryan Borberg (7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 6 K) and Jerrod Jenkins (2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K) combined for the shutout. This week, Dallas Baptist hosts Abilene Christian before a tricky series against Florida International.
