Brewers Area Code Games Roster

The Brewers unveiled their 2016 team to represent Southern California at the Area Code Baseball Games in Long Beach, Calif. on Aug. 6-10. Last year’s Brewers team included the top pick in last year’s draft in Mickey Moniak (Phillies), as well as high-end prospects in Blake Rutherford (Yankees), Kevin Gowdy (Phillies) and Reggie Lawson (Padres).

Early indications are that the 2017 draft class will be particularly strong in Southern California, and the Brewers’ roster reflects that. The roster includes Hunter Greene, who is among the best pitching and position player prospects in the class, and is a candidate to be taken early in the first round. Greene will be surrounded with potential pro arms in Hans Crouse, Jeremiah Estrada and Kyle Hurt, to name a few.

Offensively, the Brewers have many top prospects, including Royce Lewis, Jayson Gonzalez, Nick Allen, Je’Von Carrier-Ward and 2018 prospect Brice Turang.
