Baseball America Job Posting: Help Us Cover Minor League Prospects

BASEBALL AMERICA PROSPECT WRITER

Baseball America is looking for an inquisitive and motivated individual to join its editorial team as a prospect writer. The position involves reporting throughout the year to help drive Baseball America’s prospect coverage as well as writing organizational Top 30 Prospects lists and a variety of other prospect content throughout the year. This position will also assist with other aspects of our coverage of baseball at all levels of the game.

The ideal candidate understands the minor leagues and player development, but more importantly wants to enhance that understanding through reporting, analysis and simply asking questions. Knowledge of MLB is required, and general familiarity with amateur baseball and the draft is preferred. A comfort level with scouting terminology and analytical concepts would be seen as positives.

Experience working in or around baseball is an asset but is not required. Spanish language skills, while not required, are also an asset.

This is a full-time position and does not require relocation. Apply by sending a résumé, writing examples and an explanation of why you would be a good fit for our prospect team to jobs@baseballamerica.com with the subject header “Baseball America Prospect Writer.”
